Highlander 08 V6 - Push to Start

+1 vote
Hi was about to purchase a EVO-ALL Data Module unit from Ebay.  The seller claims this unit will allow me to use the factory fob to start the vehicle.  Is this correct?  Also, will the fob work when the car is remotely started, i.e. unlock the doors and open the trunk?

Hi Simon,

The 3X Lock starting is available for that vehicle. Here is the installation guide: STAND ALONE EVO-ALL & ES350, Camry, Highlander (2007-2013) - No key takeover - Revision 20130605

Locks should still work, the trunk though depends if your OEM fob can unlock the trunk while the vehicle is started from factory. You can try this right now by starting your car normally and hitting the trunk button on the OEM fob.

If buying the unit as a Stand Alone remote starter, make sure the eBay guy updates the firmware to the latest version and also turns On the Stand Alone option; which is option 15.
