Clutch Bypass

0 votes
Hello

I have just purchased an Evo One. I intend to fit it in a Chevvy Cruz manual transmission. I also got the T harness for it.  THAR-GM1v2. In the install guide for the THAR (guide 23461) there is no mention of the clutch bypass, yet in the wire to wire guide (guide  16751) it shows white A5 out to a resistor to bypass the clutch. Should I include this connection when using the T Harness.

Best Regards.

Yes you have to bypass the clutch in any vehicle other wise the vehicle will not start.

Thanks for that. The point I was trying to make, was that the two guides for the same installation gave conflicting descriptions. I am in Ireland and not every car here needs the clutch bypassed, hence my question. Thanks again for your help.

yes i would use both guides as a refrence.  you will need a 180 ohm neg.start  for the clutch and i've ran across this a few times having to use the t-harness guide and also the regular install guide.  you can hook up the whole install and test the A5 wire for a start out if you want but the t-harness is doing the same thing as the harwire diagram.
