2018 Tiguan will not start

0 votes
2018 VW Tiguan, STD-Key, Not digital cluster, AT

EVO-ALL firmware 64.06

THAR-VW6

Decrypted and programmed successfully, but when trying to remote start via lock lock lock from oem key, car turns on, but doesn't crank.

Tested while in the car and the depress break light (shift lock) was still illuminated. I wired in the Yellow/Red Break Out to Black/Red VESCM (+)Foot Break correctly.

Tested command start while in the car and depressing the break, works.

Please assist.

Hello,

Try turning off A13 and turning on D6 and re test.

Please observe the brakes lights when testing and let me know if they are turning on at remote start.

Best regards.

With D6 turned on, the car doesn't even turn on. Car unlocks and relocks as per OEM security, instrument cluster never illuminates.

Break lights don't illuminate.

Turned off D6 and tested again, original symptoms came back, car turns on, no crank, no break lights. Shift lock light on dash illuminated.
When you remote start the vehicle, if you test the yellow/red wire from the evo do you get any voltage coming out of it?
0 voltage on yellow/red line when testing
Ok that explains some of the issue, next step would be to master reset the unit: https://cdn.fortin.ca/en/download/61931/61931.pdf re flash 64.06, re enable vehicle specific options, then re program the unit to the vehicle again and re test.

Best regards.
