2014 Mazda CX-5 Automatic - EVO-MAZT1 versus EVO-ONE plus THAR-MAZ1

Question

I want to install a remote start solution in a 2014 Mazda CX-5 automatic.  What is the advantage of installing an EVO-ONE with a THAR-MAZ1 harness, versus goning the the EVO-MAZT1 (EVO-ALL based) solution?

 

FYI... Your web site product info seems to be inconsistent when I compare these 2 solutions for the CX-5.  In the :Adavanced Features" section of the comparison matrix, it shows EVO-MAZT1 with "Standalone Remote Start" as "yes" but the EVO-ONE as "N/A".  And in the "Remote Starters" section further below, it says the exact opposite.

MAZ1 install is an OEM start install, all through data.

- EVO-ALL can be used as a Stand Alone Remote Starter

• The OEM remote remains functional upon remote start so it's 100% compatible with 3x Lock Start.
• MAZ1 harness is compatible with both EVO-ALL or EVO-ONE
• MAZ1 programming requires 2 keys
• MAZ1 install is only compatible with AUTOMATIC vehicles since an OEM starter install
• OEM alarm managed by either EVO-ALL or EVO-ONE
• EVO-ALL stand alone available

 

MAZ2 install is a traditional install requiring acc, ign and start to be powered up.

- Stand Alone Remote Starter with an EVO-ALL is not available

• The OEM remote will not remain functional once the vehicle is started
• MAZ2 harness is only compatible with the EVO-ONE
• MAZ2 installation requires only 1 key to program
• MAZ2 was mainly created to cover MANUAL cars but will also on automatic models.
• OEM alarm managed by the EVO-ONE

• EVO-MAZT1 or EVO-ONE /w THAR-MAZ1, 2-keys required to program, EVO-ALL stand alone available

Car is manual?

•  EVO-ONE /w THAR-MAZ2 or EVO-ALL /w RS, 1-key required to program, EVO-ALL stand alone NOT available.

 

Clients don't care at all that the OEM remote would not work while the car is running?

• EVO-ONE /w THAR-MAZ2 install, all day, everyday

STAND ALONE REMOTE STARTER under advanced features will never be listed on an EVO-ONE because it's an EVO-ALL feature. The EVO-ONE is already a full blown remote starter while the EVO-ALL can or cannot be a remote starter depending on the model of car.

 

The REMOTE START feature should always be there with an EVO-ONE.

 

The REMOTE START feature should be showing up on all EVO-ALL or EVO-Combo that have STAND ALONE checked off. If it's not there, don't worry. As long as it's checked off for stand alone, the EVO-ALL or EVO-Combo will do remote start.
