What do the numbers in front of the icons represent.

Example:  18. cut(icon) Security LED  Green

                                                                      BCM White 40 pin connector pin 38 or behind cluster pin 3

What does the numbe 18 represent?

The numbers are there just for pinning the info to an actual photo of the wire if a photo is available.

It also helps many installers cross reference their installs. It has nothing to do with the car itself.
