RF Kit for Evo One

0 votes
Im a little confused, I dont see the option for enabling RF Kit on the remote starter side of flashlink. I am using the RF Kit that came with the Ax-One which is the FTX44-2w. Also, I am supposed to disable the RF Kit in the bypass side ?

First, that service number does not work : 002b01007467

You do not need to enable anything when using the FTX44-2w. Those remotes and the AX-ONE are already set up. All you would need to do here is follow the remote programming procedure found in the Quick Install guide that came with the AX-ONE. It's on the first page.

Also, I am supposed to disable the RF Kit in the bypass side ?

Actually, if you see those options, it's because you accessed the bypass options through the offline menu. Those options are not available on the bypass side of the EVO-ONE. They are only to be used with an EVO-ALL.

Are you referring to option B2 on the bypass side ? Should that be on or off with my system. I turned it on thinking I would need that in order for my rf kit to work but I can turn it off. I just confirmed my service number and it is indeed 002B01 007467. I was able to confirm my setting on the website with my service number.
my apologies, just realized the question on the B2 option was answered already.

I dunno, for some reason, that service number is showing nothing. http://fortin.ca/en/support/002b01007467/  There should be some info in there. Yet, The bypass side seems to be working fine, http://fortin.ca/en/support/002b02007467/.

Anyway, I just looked through your last post. The AX-ONE with the FTX44 is already all set up. You shouldn't need to play around with the options. Just in case something somewhere went wrong, I'd do a quick reset to the bypass side. This will clear all options back to default.

This is the reset procedure for the bypass portion:

  1. Hold down programming button (right beside that yellow wire loop hanging out the EVO)
  2. Plug in main power 6-pin connector. LEDs will start to alternate.
  3. Let go of button whent he LED is red
  4. Press and HOLD the button again until all LEDs start to alternate once more.

Once that is done, flash the remote starter to version 1.15, then go the bypass side and flash to 79.24. Remeber that when hitting the TOGGLE button to switch between remote starter mode and bypass mode, the EVO should ideally be disconnected.

Don't forget to enable option 2-4 in the remote starter settings as this is mandatory for this setup.

To also use the OEM Remotes alond with the FTX remotes, activate these options. Beware though that this feature may not work on the Tundra. It really all depends if the BLUE LED flashes when you press lock or unlock on the OEM remote. This confirms that the EVO is detecting the OEM remotes.

  • Remote Starter options: 38.2
  • Bypass Opions: C1
your the man ! thank you for clarifying this, I didnt want to show up at the installers and have any issues and have to be updating/flashing while they were working on my truck. I really appreciate your help !

One last question, do you recommend I turn off the features I dont have or would I be fine to leave them on in flashlink ? (Heated seats, etc ?)

I just realized that the service number on remote start side shows up as 002B05 007467 on flashlink, I was typing the service number on the back of the unit before.

This makes sense. Must be a typo on the sticker. If you get a moment, mind sending a picture of the back of the unit to support@ifar.ca ? Just in case we have more units that have hardware 5 with a hardware 1 sticker.

A1-A10 you can leave on, A11-Hood Status turn off.

Updates and options is 60% of all remote starter installations now. This is something they are most likely very used to do doing.
