2001 Toyota Avalon Cranks but no start EVO ONE with T harness and RM442 remote

2001 Toyota Avalon.  Installed per instructions with T harness, flashed using wizard, all showed good.  Key sense connected to Red/yellow per wirecolor.com (not red/white as shown in install diagram as there is no red/white).  Also verified this red/yellow key sense pulls to ground when key is inserted.  Key bypass seemed to program correctly, red LED flashed rapidly after inserting key.  Made connections to door locks, trunk, and parking lights, all which work fine.  I press the remote start and the car will crank but does not start.  Seems like it is not properly bypassing the key.

Hello,

If you place the key in the ignition but do not turn it, then you attempt remote start does it start and run?

Best regards.

No, I tried that but it doesn't and shouldn't work because the installation has you cut the data lines for the key transponder.

I discovered it is an error in the documentation for the install type.  It has the orange wire as accessory when it needs to be ignition 2 on the main harness.  Accessory drops to 0v during cranking while ignition 2 stays at 12v.   This can be corrected in the flashlink programming by selecting option 31.5 instead of the default of disabled.
Hello,

Glad you got it sorted, I will pass that info along to the graphics department.

Best regards
